Can Milà: Your Trip to Sitges Starts Here

If you come to Sitges, the experience should be complete and genuine from the very first moment. That's why we recommend you start at our new visitor service office, located in the Can Milà farmhouse. Both inside and out, thanks its building and its contents, the visit is well worth your while. Come on, what are you waiting for!?

Sitges has two tourism offices: the one located in the square in front of the train station and the one opened in 2021, housed in the former Can Milà country house. This house dates from the Middle Ages (fourteenth century), has been renovated with care and attention to detail and is located at one of the main entryways into Sitges. It is an elegant neo-Gothic space with gemel windows and stone cladding. Inside, it features coffered ceilings and functional warmth to allow visitors to experience their first immersion in the town's cultural, natural and social heritage.

The Can Milà Visitors’ Centre was totally renovated and refurbished in 2021. The facility includes the main house, a garden, vineyards growing Malvasia de Sitges grapes and an adjacent building that houses the offices of the Tourism Council of Sitges. As we've mentioned, the complex is located at one of the main entrances to the town, making it easy (and the perfect symbol) to welcome people from all over the world. It's a formal welcome, but also a very profound one, because with this visitor centre we want to show what Sitges is, why it is the way it is and what awaits you during your stay. In short, we want you to leave Can Milà prepared to discover one of the most special places on the Mediterranean.

Can Milà’s curiosities include the fact that it used to be a production centre for Malvasia de Sitges grapes and the home of Josep Robert i Mestre, a bibliophile, chemist and producer of the famous Malvasia Robert, and that part of his library, one of the most important ones in the Penedès-Garraf region, used to be housed in this space.

If you agree, let's head out into the garden. Yes, we have a garden. Big and beautiful. And local, very local, because its color and aroma are provided by diverse native species such as rosemary, mastic trees, thyme, and broom. In fact, the entire outdoor space has been conceived as a local biodiversity area to recover the native flora and fauna. So, apart from the plants, in the garden you will find feeders for wintering birds and shelters for birds, reptiles, insects and chiropterans. And you will also see Sitges Malvasia de Sitges vines, planted in collaboration with the Sitges Malvasia Interpretation Center (CIM) and the Celler Hospital.

As I said: if you come to Sitges, make a note of an essential first stop, which will orientate and stimulate you. We'll be waiting for you at home, we'll be waiting for you at the Can Milà farmhouse.
