Exhibition: "Família"

When it comes to Leonor Solans’ muses, nothing is what it seems. With an imagination that evokes fairy tales, these nymphs inhabit inland forests where childhood merges with fantasy. Like Lewis Carroll’s Alice, they transform fears into playful puzzles, taming tigers and panthers as if they were pets. However, some also wear uncertain, coy expressions that hint at an imminent rite of passage.

All of Solans’ nymphets, whether ingénues or ‘Lolitas’, impetuous amazons or innocuous little girls, share a spellbinding quality that reflects latent states undergoing constant development. Família, then, is an exhibition that invites us to explore a world where everything and anything can still be shaped.
