Navaja is the latest dance piece by the company laSADCUM, winner of the Best Show award at the DansaCat 2024 awards. The company’s director and choreographer of the piece is Guillem Jiménez, who has collaborated with some of the most prominent artists in the contemporary scene and has created works such as the choreography for the music video Oral, the collaboration between Björk and Rosalía.

Navaja is crafted from codes extracted from digital consumer platforms. The piece presents a scenic self-portrait on sex-affective poetics in the self-learning process dictated by the algorithm in the SADCUM adolescence. Five characters, called LOINKS, embark on a non-journey of spring-like emulation, framed within a demo abandoned halfway through its programming.
