Nearly 90 vehicles to take part in the Barcelona -Sitges International Vintage Car Rally 2025

The convoy of cars and motorcycles sets off from Barcelona on Sunday, 6 April, and will take the coastal road through the Garraf and the streets of Sitges to arrive at La Fragata.

The 67th edition of the Barcelona - Sitges International Vintage Car Rally is being held over the weekend of 5 and 6 April. The event will once again show that it is one of the most eagerly awaited occasions on the motor calendar and an unmissable weekend for collectors and enthusiasts of historical vehicles.

In all, 89 vehicles have been registered to take part in this year’s rally, 79 of them cars manufactured before 1928 and the other ten motorcycles built before 1938, with their occupants. The selection of these precious motor vehicles guarantees that each edition features unique cars and motorcycles, reflecting the efforts of their owners to keep the essence of the early years of motoring alive.

Members of the public will be able to get a close-up look at models from well-known makes such as Ford, Hispano Suiza and Rolls-Royce, along with others such as Rochet Scheider, Amilcar and Delage, which can only be found at events such as this. Outside of the competition, there will also be a Škoda from 1930.

The event not only brings together historical vehicles that have been perfectly conserved, but also transcends borders. Besides participants from different parts of Spain, this year’s edition also features participants from France, Italy and Portugal, strengthening the international dimension of the rally and its appeal for enthusiasts of the history of motor vehicles. Some 16% of this year’s participants are new to the event and will be experiencing the occasion for the first time.

The big moment in the rally will be when the traditional convoy of historical vehicles makes its way from Barcelona to Sitges on Sunday, 6 April, with drivers, riders and passengers dressed in clothing from the period. The vehicles taking part will set off from Plaça Sant Jaume in Barcelona at 10.30 am, making their way through various towns and the legendary road along the coast of the Garraf area in the direction of Sitges. After a parade around several streets in the town, the vehicles are expected to reach La Fragata at around 12.30 pm.

The prospect of driving along the Garraf coastal road in an unparalleled setting between the mountains and the Mediterranean is undoubtedly one of the singular qualities of the rally, a unique event and the reason that most of the participants are keen to repeat the experience every year.

Foment de Sitges, the entity that organises the event with the collaboration of the Councillor's Office for Tourism at Sitges Town Council and Barcelona City Council, has closed the registration process earlier than planned for the second year running owing to high participation. The Barcelona-Sitges Rally is not just a procession of historical cars, but a celebration of motor culture, where tradition and passion combine in every kilometre of the route.
