The Councillor for Culture, Albert Oliver-Rodés, will be inaugurating two new exhibitions on Saturday, 29 March: Els colors de la natura by Lola Ballbé, at 11 am, and Món nou. De la foscor a la llum by Isidre Marcet, at 12 noon. The opening ceremony will be attended by both artists, who are exhibiting their work after becoming winners in the public competition to display their creative pieces at the Miramar.

The Sitges artist Isidre Marcet is presenting the exhibition Món nou. De la foscor a la llum, with some eighty works set up on the first floor of the municipal facility. The exhibition offers his artistic vision, born from a profoundly emotional and spontaneous creative process. It also aims to nourish the spirit and bring art closer to the public, moving away from matter and exploring a more human and intimate concept. 

Under the title Els colors de la natura, the painter Lola Ballbé invites us to discover her work on the ground floor of the Miramar-Centro Cultural, through a route around some 50 pieces. The exhibition explores the intimate connection between the colours of the Mediterranean and the sensory perception of landscapes. Light and visual and tactile textures have an essential role, offering captivating chromatic experiences. The creations reflect a craft commitment and a direct connection with nature which enriches every piece.

Both exhibitions are open to the public at the Miramar-Centro Cultural until 11 May.
