Andrea Motis heads the line-up for the 4th Jazz Tardor-Memorial Josep Vadell
The programme includes some big names from the current jazz scene.
The main attraction will be at the Teatre Prado on 14 December, with the concert by the renowned Catalan trumpet player, composer and singer of international stature, Andrea Motis. The concert gets under way at 8 pm with a trio format that includes Carla Motis on the guitar and Giuseppe Campisi on the double bass. The programme features other formations such as the Tonia Solà Quartet. Local talent comes in the form of the South Side Stompers, who will be playing live at the Casino Prado on 22 November, at 10 pm, offering a journey through the sounds of musicians such as Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton, Bix Beiderbecke, Frankie Trumbauer, Duke Ellington and Fletcher Henderson. The festival also features the singer Laura Simó and the pianist Elisabet Raspall, performing in two sessions on 29 November, at 7.30 pm and at 10 pm.
The jazz cycle concludes on 22 December with the traditional Christmas concert at the Retiro at 9 pm.
Tickets and passes
Tickets and passes are on sale at the Prado offices and on the Casino Prado website. The secretary’s office for the organisation is open from 10 am to 1 pm and from 4 pm to 7pm. All tickets will be numbered.
