Unusual things to do in Sitges

Tunnels of terror, an LGBTIQ+ film exhibition, street painting, paired dinners and musical shows, are some of the activities proposed that you cannot miss on your next visit.

If you know Sitges you know that we celebrate everything here. Life, the sun, love, the terraces, the sea, music, cinema, art. We don't need to explain it any further, it's a way of life.
You also know that this is reflected in the things that happen in Sitges; parties, festivals, meetings with friends, you'll always find something to do!
And today we're going to tell you some surprising things about Sitges and we want you to know about them. Some of them you probably haven't even heard of, or maybe you have? Either way, we have suggestions for the next few days. Come on, let's get started!

If you still haven't been scared enough at the Sitges International Film Festival of Catalonia,  you should know that until 29 October the Miramar Cultural Centre is hosting a super-terrifying tunnel, free of charge, 'El rodatge maleït''  and set in an old abandoned film studio. You can book your tickets here.

Discover the most unusual corners of Sitges through drawing. In Sitges we have a very interesting association; the Sitges Urban Sketchers. Practically every week they get together to paint in different corners of the charming town. If you join their group you can see and sketch unique spaces such as Can Milà, Jardins de Terramar, el Cercle Artístic de Sitges or el Palau del Rei Moro, among others. Keep an eye on their networks  where they publish the calls, open to everyone!

Enjoy dinners with DO Penedès wine pairings

From 2 to 24 November, 8 restaurants in Sitges will dress up in their best clothes and offer a tasting menu, with the added attraction that participants will be able to enjoy the explanations of the different winemakers, who will explain the details of their wines in person. You can make your reservation directly at each restaurant - places are limited and they're flying!

Did you know that in Sitges there is a performing arts school specialising in the training of actors, dancers and musical theatre artists? It's the Institute of the Arts Barcelona (IAB), uniquely, its students come from over 40 countries. The IAB organises a series of eclectic performances throughout the year with its students, including musicals, theatre and performances of all styles, because this is where the next great directors and artists of the West End may come from! Tickets and shows here.

Discover the most brilliant LGBTIQ+ cinema at the Mostra de Cine Endimaris Sitges. Between 3 and 12 November, the centenary Casino Prado Suburense is hosting screenings of films such as the Italian "Stranizza de Amouri", "A Kid like Jake", starring Jim Parsons, Claire Danes and Octavia Spence, "Made on Rooftop" and the Spanish premiere of "Where is the Lie". It will also feature the documentary "Zero. The magazine that brought a country out of the wardrobe", which tells the story of the influential magazine and its fight for LGTBIQ+ rights. The film features testimonies from Jesús Vázquez, Alaska, Boris Izaguirre, Anabel Alonso, Nacho Duato, Eduardo Casanova, among others!
