Sitges Tourism

This autumn's must-sees in Sitges

Whoever says that you can only go to Sitges in summer doesn't know us!

You can always escape to Sitges for one, two, three... as many days as you want! Our shops never close, the good weather is the best excuse to continue enjoying the terraces and there are always interesting things going on here!

And to give you a few ideas of what you can do this autumn we propose a very complete list:

1. A big event
It goes without saying that we are talking about the Sitges, International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia.

The world's most important fantasy and horror film festival starts on 5 October and lasts 10 days with 355 screenings and a programme of parallel activities for all ages with exhibitions, food trucks, shops, workshops and also the famous Zombie Walk to be held on Saturday 7.
If you don't like scary movies, that's no longer an excuse not to get away!

2. Irish Folk
As if it were a tradition. This is how Sitges awaits each year the more than a thousand Irish people who bring the best of their country's artistic scene as part of the Creative Connexions Festival. From 26 to 29 October, an eclectic mix of writers, poets, singers and dancers bring together Catalan and Irish music and culture. Make time in your diary for:
- Sitges Sessions; free performances in different bars and restaurants to liven up your lunch or dinner.
- Performances by some of the Emerald Isle's most renowned musicians: Mary Coughla and Jack O'Rourke (among others!)
- The Festival Parade; which runs through the streets of the centre of Sitges; Saturday 28th October from 17.00h and leaving from Plaça de la Fragata.

3. Cinema of all colours
Cinema knows no gender, and with this clear premise in mind, the Endimaris Sitges LGTBIQ+ Film Festival is holding its third edition this year from 3 to 12 November. An event that highlights LGTBIQ+ cinema, giving visibility to the whole collective. Don't lose track of it and check out its proposals on the web https://mostraendimarissitges.com/

4. Miniature gastronomy
From 23 November to 3 December, the best tapas are back with a new edition of Sitges, Tapa a Tapa!
What will you find? A good excuse to try new places and go out with your friends while tasting the new recipes that local bars and restaurants prepare for this occasion. More than 32 businesses took part in the last edition, a real ode to gastronomic fun!

5. Malvasia Week
If you still don't know the Sitges Malvasia, you're missing out on a treasure! A wine with its own name of which only 10,000 bottles are made per year, it spends 8 years in barrels and in 2022 it was awarded the gold medal for the best sweet wine in the prestigious Brussels competition. 9 editions of the Sitges Malvasia Week, which this year between the 9th and 19th November brings us concerts at the Sitges Malvasia Interpretation Centre, art workshops, tastings...

There is always a good reason to come to Sitges, and you know that we are waiting for you with open arms!
