The Sitges Convention Bureau, the congress tourism programme by the Tourism Council at Sitges Town Council, is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2024, helping position Sitges as a MICE destination (Meetings, Incentive, Conventions and Events). The annual assembly of partners, held this week at the Sunway Sitges hotel and chaired by the Mayor of Sitges, Aurora Carbonell, and the Councillor for Tourism, Xavi Ripoll, was attended by over 40 representatives from the main companies specialising in MICE and members of the Sitges Convention Bureau.

The assembly allows for new collaboration opportunities and synergies to be created between the affiliated companies, as well as an evaluation of the actions carried out and explanations on future strategies.

The Sitges Convention Bureau presented its action plan for 2025, with over 30 actions between workshops, professional fairs and familiarisation trips to introduce the destination to event organisers. The programme will have an impact in the main markets of interest, such as France, Scandinavian countries, Switzerland, UK, USA, Holland, Germany, Italy and Ireland. Notable actions include the Break the Ice Forum to be held in Sitges in conjunction with the Hotel Calipolis from 25 to 27 March 2025, and the 20th anniversary of the Sitges Convention Bureau.
