The 40th Sitges Half Marathon and the 12th Sitges Quarter Marathon take centre stage at the start of the year in Sitges. This year's circuit is maintained with a commitment to the streets of the centre of Sitges, which favours the presence of the public and makes participants feel more accompanied throughout the race. The start of the 12th Quarter Marathon will be at 9 am on Sunday 14 January, while the 40th Half Marathon will start at 10 am. The presentation of the race has been made this midday in Sitges and it has confirmed that there are already 1,813 athletes signed up for the Half Marathon and 1,023 for the Fourth Marathon, making a total of 2,836 participants and therefore 300 people more than the previous year. As for the school events on Saturday, a total of 170 children will be taking part. On the eve of the Half Marathon, Saturday 13 January, the Paseo Marítimo will host the fifth edition of the Sitges Children's Races, inclusive and adapted, between 4pm and 6pm, starting and finishing in front of the Club de Mar. From 5th year ESO upwards, podiums will be set up for the top three finishers in each category, but all participants will receive a medal as a souvenir. The races will follow one after the other from youngest to oldest, according to age categories.

This year 2024, the Sitges Half Marathon will continue to be a charity race and will raise funds for the NGO Ocularis, which is dedicated to ophthalmological care and training in sub-Saharan Africa.

Apart from the adapted races on Saturday, Sunday's races are also expected to be attended by blind people or people with reduced mobility, as in previous editions of the Sitges Half Marathon and the Sitges Half Marathon.
