More than forty cultural, traditional and trade promotion activities are the focus of this year's Christmas program.

The start of the campaign will be the lighting of the Christmas lights this Friday, which emphasizes sustainable, local festivities with a wide range of leisure and cultural activities.

Sitges kicks off the Christmas campaign this Friday, December 1, with the Christmas lights switch-on ceremony at 5:30 p.m. at the Christmas lights switch-on ceremony at 5:30 p.m. at the Cap de la Vila. With the slogan 'Your Christmas is in Sitges', the Town Hall is presenting a program of activities, from December until the beginning of January, to promote local commerce, responsible consumption, promote cultural events and keep traditions alive.
Among the proposals include children's activities, concerts, the classic Pastorets,
activities related to the Tió, the Christmas Market (Winter Market Sitges), the Pantomime
Pantomime, nativity scenes, the Quinto game, the traditional Three Kings Parade, among others.

 

Coinciding with the day of the Holy Innocents, on December 28th, they organize the celebration of the Festa de la Llufa in the gardens of El Retiro, which includes chocolate, face painting, Christmas workshops (such as painting llufas, making a Christmas card with lettering, cardboard reindeer and snowmen with clothespins), and an escape room of the Pastorets. This activity will be held in two sessions (11-12.15 am and 12.15-13.30 pm) and promises fun for the whole family. All you have to do is solve the riddles, find the clues to escape with Lluquet and Rovelló in less than an hour and a quarter. To participate in this game is necessary to bring a cell phone per team and perform physical tests. The starting point will be the gardens of the Societat Recreativa El Retiro. The activity is free, but prior registration of one person per team is required. Tickets must be reserved from December 4 through the same link.

 

These activities will be complemented with the screening of the film 'Hanna i els monstres' on December 29 at 5.30 pm at the Cine El Retiro. Tickets will be distributed tickets will be distributed free of charge on the same day at the box office, on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

On December 23 and 30 at the Cap de la Vila will be held 'La tarda màgica de la Navidad' which includes a storytelling session set in Christmas themes from 7 pm and a gift to the attendees of the book 'Petita Història de la Malvasia'. Simultaneously, will begin a musical parade by Apocadixie Cotton Pickers from the Cap de la Vila to the different streets of the commercial axis of the town center. The musicians will walk through the streets of the commercial axis accompanied by Santa Claus on December 23.

 

The Sports Department will also be scheduling a new edition of the Christmas Park, a classic holiday event and one of the most eagerly awaited proposals by children and youngsters. The Sitges Museums will be holding workshops such as a letter to the Three Kings, among others. For young people, the Espai Jove will be hosting the Christmas escape room, Grinchmas, on December 1, aimed at young people between the ages of 12 and 18.

The Department of Image and Public Roads promotes, from 7 to 31 January, the collection of Christmas trees to deposit natural trees, once the holidays are over.
