Through fragments—snippets from here and there—of articles, letters, and various prose that Rusiñol wrote throughout his life, Ramon Madaula crafts a monologue that unravels perhaps the lesser-known, but most sincere side of the character. Rusiñol, seated in a café, shares with us his intimate life, accompanied on the piano by his great friend Erik Satie, portrayed in this case by pianist Marc García.

A total artist, like few we have had in Catalonia, Rusiñol had no shame in revealing himself through his writings. Tired, old, and disappointed, the "wanderer of the earth," the "slave to what escapes," watched as the ideal slipped through his fingers.
