Citizen science will help us to know the state and environmental evolution of the Ribes stream and some of the tools to sample and monitor its biodiversity. We will observe nature with naked eyes and binoculars; we will identify native species and invasive species; we will take photographs; and we will learn to use the technique of photo trapping, a tool that reveals what happens to nature when we are not there.

Activity description

The meeting point will be at 10 am at the CEM (Passeig Marítim, 72) Sitges.

• 10 h: Welcome, presentation of the activity.
• 10.15 – 12.30 h: Development of the activity in the Riera de Ribes.
• 12.30 to -13 h: Presentation of the citizen science platform INaturalist and closure of the activity.

This activity is organized with the collaboration of the Sitges Biodiversity entity born in 2017 with the aim of disseminating, raising awareness and preserving the nearest natural environment.
