6 p.m. CARNIVAL TALK: IS THIS THE CARNIVAL WE WANT?

Place: Meeting room of the Societat Recreativa El Retiro

Participants: The presidents of Carnivals from various places in the Catalan geography, the councilor for Traditions and Festivities of Sitges, the president of the Sitges Carnival and the presidents of the Carnival commissions of the Casino Prado Suburense, Societat Recreativa el Retiro and Agrupació dels Independents of the Sitges Carnival.

Moderator: Sergi Molina Jaime.

At the end of the debate, presentation of the El Retiro Carnival poster, the work of Sitget artist Victor Bregante.

Place: Meeting room of the Societat Recreativa El Retiro

Masterclass by master Xatonaire, Carles Montserrat Eroles, to celebrate the first written reference to Xató in L'Eco de Sitges, on February 16, 1896. Once the workshop is over there will be xatonada for the attendees to taste the magnificent ready cake

7 p.m. PRESENTATION OF THE SITGES 2024 CARNIVAL QUEEN

Place: Plaça de l'Ajuntament

Premiere of the 5th and last chapter of the GOOD GAME fashion series (Ben Jugat) in an immersive experience in the Town Hall Square. Will the five young women be able to play the video game? Will they find Grandma Rosita? And to all this, will we have Reina del Carnaval? You can find the first four episodes on the Youtube channel "TV Pomers", the Netflix of Huertos.

At the end, the Queen and her entourage will go to the Societat Recreativa El Retiro, where the presentation continues.

7:24 p.m.  ARRIVAL OF HRM MAJESTY CARNESTOLTES AND HIS ENGAGEMENT (act with pyrotechnics)

At the end, HRM Majesty Carnestoltes and his entourage will go to Village house to take power, recite the Predicot and govern Sitges for the whole week.

9 p.m. THE RETIRO'S XATÓ

Place: Saló Teatre de la Societat Recreativa El Retiro

Traditional Xatonada with the assistance of HRM Majesty Carnestoltes, the Sitges Carnival Queen and her respective retinues. At the end, there will be a carnival party at the New Ricky's nightclub for all over-age attendees! From midnight.

Xatonada with a surprise performance and a visit from HRM Majesty Carnestoltes and the Queen of Carnival, with their respective entourages. La Gallofa, the organization's satirical, carnivalesque and uncensored magazine, will be distributed.

FRIDAY FEBRUARY 9

9 a.m. VISIT TO SITGES SCHOOLS AND RESIDENCES

HRM Majesty Carnestoltes I and the Carnival Queen, with their entourage, visit schools, municipal kindergartens, old people's homes and residences to bring Carnival everywhere. They invite all the boys and girls to prepare costumes and decorate the classrooms and schools.

5 p.m. CHILDREN'S PARTY

Place: Gardens of the Societat Recreativa El Retiro

It's time for the youngest in the organization. All the girls and boys of Sitges will be able to enjoy a time of laughter, dancing and games in the Gardens of El Retiro, decked out in the magnificent costumes they will have prepared in the schools to welcome HRM Majesty Carnestoltes and the Carnival Queen.

7.30 p.m. RUA D'ANTES

From the epicenter of our municipality, where so many carnival streets began, and for those who are most nostalgic for our beloved Carnival, the Rua d'Antes returns for another year! People from Sitges are invited to participate dressed up in the first thing they find around the house. The Queen's entourage will be in charge of enlivening the meeting point. There will also be the presence of HRM Majesty Carnestoltes and the entertainment of a charanga.

Route: Cap de la Vila, Parellades, Bonaire, Passeig de la Ribera, La Fragata, Carrer Nou, Major and Cap de la Vila.

9 a.m. VISIT TO THE RESIDENCES

HRM Majesty Carnestoltes and the Queen of the Sitges 2024 Carnival with their entourage, visit the residences to bring the Carnival everywhere.

Route: Hospital Sant Joan Baptista. The Sitges Park residence will be visited the same Saturday at 4:30 p.m

11 a.m. VISIT TO THE MUNICIPAL MARKET

Visit of HRM Majesty Carnestoltes and the Sitges Carnival Queen with their respective retinues.

12 a.m. DISGUISED BED RACE

Departure of the awaited and crazy Race of Disguised Beds, from the doors of the Prado Casino.

The Carnival Queen and the Children's Queen will give the start, who will close the route together with HRM Majesty Carnestoltes.

Route: Francesc Gumà, Jesús, Cap de la Vila, Parellades, Sant Pau, Passeig de la Ribera, Sant Pere, Parellades, Bonaire, Passeig de la Ribera up to the swings.

At the end of the race, the winning groups will be awarded.

Carnival percussion party in the most emblematic streets of Sitges. With the performance of Markatú Batuquets and Markatú Batucada.

7 p.m. FUNERAL OF HRM MAJESTY CARNESTOLTES I (EVENT WITH PYROTECHNICS)

Accompanying the entourage, their entourage and the mourners who want to show their respect to the King of Carnival. with the participation of the Old Lent.
